🌎 Empowering Marginalized Youth Through Online Creativity
Not all young people have the same chance to enter the creative world.
Many face barriers:
→ Financial struggles that keep them from pursuing creative studies (82% of youth from under-represented socio-economic backgrounds do not apply for CCI jobs because of costs) (UAL News).
→ A lack of access to digital skills training and industry connections (European Commission).
At the same time, the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) are full of opportunities.
They employ around 8 million people across the EU (European Commission), and youth (15-29) make up a larger share of this workforce than in any other sector (UNESCO).
That’s why Digicreate Empower exists.
Our project connects young people from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro, giving marginalized youth a space to:
- Learn digital tools and creative skills through online courses and the Creative Hive Toolbox
• Join Virtual Exchanges that foster dialogue and collaboration beyond borders
• Build confidence, networks, and entrepreneurial skills in the CCI sector
👉 Creativity becomes the bridge: it brings people together, sparks innovation, and gives every young artist, no matter where they come from, a chance to be heard.
