🌐Introducing WP1 of RESCHIP4EU: Shaping the Future of Embedded Systems Education in Europe
EA Consulting is part of the RESCHIP4EU project, which is tackling Europe’s acute talent shortage in chip & IoT design.
Under Work Package 1 (WP1), our mission is to co-create a top-tier double‑degree Master’s program in Embedded Systems Design, tailored to evolving industry needs. The program combines chip architecture, IoT applications, and innovation training through hands-on education.
This 120 ECTS double-degree program includes:
- Specializations in Chip Design and IoT applications
- A Minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship
- Academic excellence + industry input for real-world impact
Delivered in 🇪🇪 Estonia, 🇫🇮 Finland, 🇫🇷 France, 🇭🇺 Hungary & 🇮🇹 Italy
Open to students across Europe
Why it matters
Europe needs engineers who can bridge hardware/software divides and bring innovation to safety-critical, green, and connected systems. WP1 is helping to make that happen.
Tasks & Deliverables:
📌 Task 1.1 – Market-Driven Curriculum Design
Together with all our partners, The University of Tampere Foundation (TAU) is leading a deep market analysis to identify key skills needed in Embedded Systems, Chips Design & IoT.
Outcome? A harmonised, forward-thinking master’s program with specialized tracks at 8 universities across Europe.
📌 Task 1.2 – Master’s Program Launch & Delivery
RESCHIP4EU is delivering a 2-year, industry-connected master’s program with:
- Mandatory mobility (study in two different EU countries)
- Business internships across Europe
- Sector-specific specializations in Chips Design & IoT
- Summer schools hosted by EIT Digital (EITD)
- A double degree + EIT Label certification
These tasks will result in the following deliverables:
- D1.1 – RESCHIP4EU master’s program: Market analysis and curriculum design (M13)
- D1.2 – Report on RESCHIP4EU master’s program delivery – First Cycle – 2025/2027
- D1.3 – Report on RESCHIP4EU master’s program delivery – Second Cycle 2026/2028
This is how academia and industry join forces to prepare Europe’s next-generation innovators, from silicon to system to start-up.
