Join Our Virtual Exchange

On 15 October 2026, the EAC EMPOWER Impact Series hosts its next online session: “Staying Calm When Busy”, organized as a Digicreate Empower Virtual Exchange.

Running from September 2026 to April 2027, the EAC EMPOWER Impact Series brings together youth workers, trainers, emerging leaders, and young people in the CCI industries for 30 free weekly online sessions. Through practical train-the-trainer sessions, Virtual Exchanges, and cross-border peer learning, participants discover collaborative tools to support their wellbeing and professional practice.

Six Learning Cycles

The 30 sessions are organized into six progressive thematic cycles:

  1. Safe Space
  2. Professional Equity
  3. Mutual Value
  4. Constructive Validation
  5. Sustainable Growth
  6. Self-Awareness

Session 4 continues our opening cycle, Safe Space, by examining how individuals and teams can maintain emotional safety and personal composure during demanding project phases.

Session 4: Staying Calm When Busy (Safe Space)

Heavy workloads, overlapping deadlines, and group responsibilities can quickly strain communication. When pressure builds, team members often struggle to express their needs or know when to step back from unproductive tension.

Using non-formal participatory approaches inspired by Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art, this 90-minute interactive workshop explores practical strategies for maintaining a grounded mindset under pressure. Participants will reflect on collective work dynamics and discuss how to establish healthy boundaries without escalating conflict.

What You Will Explore

During the session, participants will:

  • Exchange ideas on maintaining emotional safety during group tasks
  • Practice calming techniques to stay grounded as deadlines approach
  • Explore how to stand up for yourself and communicate your needs clearly
  • Discuss when to set boundaries and leave a discussion if agreed feedback rules are not respected
  • Share practical ways to support one another when group work becomes stressful

Participants will also develop MIND Guides with practical strategies to recognize stress, reconnect with what matters, identify ways to stay calm and supported, and make intentional decisions when things get busy.

Who Should Attend?

This online virtual exchange session is designed for young people in the CCI industries seeking constructive ways to manage workplace pressure and foster mutual support in group settings.

Participants join live via Zoom to engage in small-group activities, guided reflection, and facilitated peer discussions.
