Join Our Virtual Exchange
The EAC EMPOWER Impact Series moves into its second session on 1 October 2026 with “Creating Focus & Digital Peace”, the first DigiCreate Virtual Exchange within the series.
Running until April 2027, the series brings youth workers, trainers and young facilitators together for 30 free weekly online sessions. Practical training, Virtual Exchanges and international peer learning give participants different ways to develop their practice and exchange perspectives with peers.
Six Learning Cycles
The 30 sessions are organised into six progressive learning cycles, with each cycle focusing on a different area:
- Safe Space
- Professional Equity
- Mutual Value
- Constructive Validation
- Sustainable Growth
- Self-Awareness
Session 2 continues the first cycle, Safe Space, by examining how participants can protect their attention and remain present within digital environments.
Session 2: Creating Focus & Digital Peace (Safe Space)
“Creating Focus & Digital Peace” will take place online on Thursday, 1 October 2026. As the first Digicreate Empower Virtual Exchange in the series, the session will create an opportunity for youth workers, trainers and young facilitators to reflect and learn with peers.
Using non-formal participatory approaches inspired by Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art, the 90-minute session will examine digital overload, distraction and sensory overwhelm. Participants will consider what competes for their attention online and how clear boundaries can support focus without requiring complete disconnection.
What You Will Explore
During the session, participants will:
- Recognise signs of digital overload, distraction and sensory overwhelm
- Identify what competes for their attention in digital environments
- Set clear boundaries that support focus without requiring complete disconnection
- Reflect on how online content can influence comparison and self-perception
- Practise focused attention, active listening and uninterrupted presence with peers
Who Should Attend?
This session is intended for young creatives, youth workers, trainers and young facilitators interested in exploring attention, boundaries and peer connection in digital environments.
Participants will join the session online and take part in non-formal participatory activities and peer exchange.
