Non-formal education offers one of the most effective environments for young people to explore complex social topics and practise active citizenship.
During the recent Erasmus+ youth exchange “QUEST – Decode Narratives, Make Choices, Take Part” in Italy, the HATE-LESS project took centre stage in a dedicated presentation led by consortium partner Mitra France.
Connecting with International Youth Leaders
Pavel Smulski, President of Mitra France, introduced the core mission and values of HATE-LESS to an engaged group of international participants.
The QUEST exchange brought young people together to reflect on how information and social environments shape opinions. Smulski’s presentation focused on:
- Decoding Divisive Narratives: Examining how polarized language spreads and influences public attitudes.
- Fostering Empathy and Respect: Encouraging open dialogue and positive communication across diverse peer groups.
- Active Youth Participation: Supporting young Europeans in making thoughtful choices and championing inclusive values in their local communities.
The session sparked an open, energetic exchange of ideas, with participants sharing their own lived perspectives on promoting kindness and mutual understanding.
Building Stronger European Communities
Grassroots mobility activities like the QUEST youth exchange demonstrate the practical value of European collaboration. By meeting face to face, participants build lasting networks that counter division and strengthen democratic life.
As our consortium continues to develop resources for educators and youth leaders, moments of direct exchange ensure that the project remains grounded in the real-world experiences of European youth.
Let’s choose more love, less hate.
