This September, women in computing from around the world will come together in France for womENcourage 2026, ACM’s flagship celebration of diversity in computing.
Taking place from September 30 to October 2, 2026, in Nice, Sophia Antipolis, France, the conference offers an opportunity to learn, connect with an international community, explore opportunities for collaboration and career growth, and take part in conversations about a more inclusive future in technology.

Unmute Yourself, Grow Stronger Together
The theme for womENcourage 2026 is “Unmute Yourself, Grow Stronger Together: Wellbeing and Support for Women in Computing.”
It places the focus not only on developing a career in computing, but also on finding your voice, building connections, and recognising the role that wellbeing and support can play in professional growth.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge from leading voices in computing and meet others from an international community. The event will also create space to explore collaboration and career opportunities while contributing to wider discussions around diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.
An Opportunity to Put Skills into Practice
Alongside the conference, participants can also sign up for the womENcourage 2026 Hackathon.
The Hackathon adds a practical and collaborative element to the event, giving participants another way to engage, work together, and apply their skills during their time at womENcourage 2026.
Both the conference and Hackathon reflect the importance of creating opportunities where people can develop their knowledge while building professional connections within the computing community.

These themes are also relevant to ACHIEVE, which focuses on developing advanced digital skills and supporting education in areas including cloud computing, networking infrastructure, and High-Performance Computing.
